Picture of Paula Dornelas
Paula Dornelas is a PhD candidate and has a master’s degree in Political Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication/ Journalism from the same university and has a postgraduate degree in Citizenship and Human Rights in the Context of Public Policies from PUC Minas, Brazil. Her research is focused on the dynamics of activism of migrant women in South America, and her research interests include migration, refuge, gender, feminist theories, social movements and human rights.
Paula is a researcher at Margem – Research Group on Democracy and Justice (UFMG), at Nepem – Center for Studies and Research on Women (UFMG) and at the Interdisciplinary Research and Extension Group: Social Rights and Migration (PUC Minas). She is also a member of Cio da Terra-Collective of Migrant Women in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
